What we do

Health

Our health interventions focus on interconnected issues affecting women’s health: breast cancer, fibroids and cysts, postpartum support, and mental health. In Cameroon, breast cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women, with an incidence of 25.4 cases per 100,000. This alarming statistic is compounded by the fact that 30% of women are affected by fibroids and ovarian cysts, which can lead to both physical and emotional distress. These health challenges are further intertwined with mental health concerns, as approximately 7% of the population—about 1,680,000 individuals—experience significant mental health issues, including addiction. Particularly concerning is that around 15% of women face postpartum depression (PPD) after childbirth, creating a critical need for comprehensive support. By recognizing the connections among these health issues, our targeted interventions aim to provide holistic resources that empower women. Together, we can address these challenges, improve health outcomes, and foster a healthier future for women in Cameroon.

Our Initiatives

Breast cancer, Fibroids and ovarian cysts are prevalent among women in Cameroon, affecting a substantial portion of the population. These conditions can lead to various health complications if not addressed. At She's STEM Foundation we are dedicated to raising awareness about these issues, promoting healthier habits; better diagnostic and treatment options, and providing support for women facing these health challenges through our specialized hospital.
She’s STEM Foundation is dedicated to addressing the often-overlooked challenges of postpartum depression (PPD) and mental health among new mothers. Recognizing that approximately 15% of women in Cameroon experience PPD, this program aims to provide comprehensive support, education, and resources to empower mothers during this crucial period of transition
