We are proud to reflect on the success of this year’s Red Charity Galas, held in Cameroon and the USA, as part of our ongoing partnership with the International Menstrual Health Coalition (IMHC). These annual fundraising events were dedicated to addressing the menstrual hygiene challenges faced by displaced girls and women, raising crucial funds to provide reusable pads and establish padbanks.
This year's galas brought together community members, advocates, and supporters who are passionate about empowering girls to manage their periods with dignity, privacy, and safety. Through the generosity of our attendees, we are thrilled to report that significant contributions were made to support our initiatives and girls in Adagom Refugee Camp.
The IMHC serves as a vital platform uniting global stakeholders committed to promoting effective menstrual hygiene management for less privileged and displaced girls and women of child bearing age. The coalition emphasizes the importance of education and resources, ensuring that every girl has the tools she needs to manage her menstruation confidently.
Our integrated approach includes:
- - Providing sanitary pads to those in need
- - Delivering comprehensive menstrual hygiene education
- - Advocating for the rights of displaced girls
As we look ahead to next year, we remain committed to making a significant impact on the lives of girls and women facing menstrual hygiene challenges. Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Red Charity Galas, and stay tuned for more updates as we continue this important work together!
